Submitting Hours for WELL Core Community Well-Being through Service Credit
Students are encouraged to Find (Finding Volunteer Opportunities) and Respond (Responding to Volunteer Opportunities) to Needs already listed in Get Connected, and Submit Hours (Logging Your Volunteer Hours) through the Get Connected platform. This allows the agency to be automatically prompted to verify hours, thus likely reducing the time and effort needed for hours to show up in your WELL Core record.
If, and only if, you are volunteering with an agency or need not listed in Get Connected, please use the Individual Hours feature of Get Connected and complete all the fields. Please note you should only use the Individual Hours feature if the volunteer Need does not exist in Get Connected. If it does, and you don't see it in the Need drop down box, it is because you didn't Respond to the Need in Get Connected. By not responding to an existing need and submitting hours for that Need through the Individual Hours feature, the process of verifying your hours will likely take much longer. Please use the Individual Hours feature only if the Need you're reporting hours for does not already exist in Get Connected.
Once your hours have been verified in Get Connected, if you've not completed the Community Well-Being through Service path, you'll receive an e-mail to complete an assessment through Qualtrics. Once you've completed the assessment, your hours will be added to your WELL Core record.
