Who We Are
The mission of Book’em is to create a more literate Nashville and ignite children’s passion for reading through book ownership and enthusiastic volunteers. We envision a future in Nashville where all children own books and know first-hand the joy and value of reading.
What We Do
Book'em collects and purchases new, like-new, and very gently used books to give to children and teens who have few books of their own. Book'em recruits, trains and places reading role model volunteers in elementary and preschools that serve low-income children.
