Who We Are
Achilles International-Nashville (Achilles) is a local non-profit agency that partners athletes with disabilities with athletes without disabilities for mainstream running activities (e.g., practices, races). Achilles Nashville is one of approximately 65 Achilles organizations around the world. Our local Nashville chapter is the second largest in the world and the fastest growing.
What We Do
Achilles partners athletes with disabilities with athletes without disabilities (e.g., a blind athlete paired with a sighted guide) so that all can participate in running activities. In Achilles, athletes with disabilities can walk, run, or roll to participate in mainstream athletic events in order to promote personal achievement, enhance self–esteem, and engage in fulfilling activities.
