Caris Healthcare is a hospice organization that has a passion for our work and a strong belief that our patient’s final days should be as comfortable as possible. We strive to provide the highest levels of quality care while balancing the needs of our patients with compassion, respect and grace.

Volunteer opportunities/locations are not limited to our office near the Nashville International Airport. Our patients are located all throughout Davidson and Williamson Counties, with several locations within 1-2 miles of Belmont University. 

**TN Promise Students are welcome to contact volunteer coordinator AT LEAST 1 week prior to their volunteer hours being due for volunteer opportunities.**

We provide hospice with Grace. The last days of life are a sacred time, and we feel strongly that grace should be present when and where it is needed most.

The Caris Volunteer Coordinator will work with each individual student to tailor the volunteer experience to meet their interest. Whether you're interested in long term volunteering or working toward completing a requirement for a class, the volunteer coordinator will match your unique skill set to a facility/patient that would most benefit from volunteer services.

Example:

Nursing students might want to shadow a Caris nurse during their clinical visit and then meet with families to provide companionship/someone to talk to.

Divinity students might want to provide volunteer Chaplain services/fellowship/Bible Study under the guidance of our Chaplain.

Social Work Students can help run grief support, memorial services, bereavement support.
