Belmont University - Student ALS Ambassador:

As a Student ALS Ambassador, you help inspire others to take action through fundraising and community outreach initiatives. Student Ambassadors are key to helping drive our mission forward, increase awareness, and make a difference in the lives of those touched by ALS.  You will work closely with the local ALS Association Staff Partner to identify ways to grow and reach new audiences to encourage them to take steps with the ALS Community by attending the Walk to Defeat ALS - Nashville. In addition to helping support Advocacy efforts.  Student ALS Ambassador      

Walk to Defeat ALS - Nashville 

- Identify ways to engage with students on Campus.(Tabling events, community awareness/fundraiser nights at local establishments, etc)

- Encourage Students to take action and support the ALS Association’s mission; to make ALS a livable disease and cure it.

- Recruit Student Leaders to form a Walk to Defeat ALS Nashville Team. (I.e. Sorority President be the Team Captain and encourage other sorority sisters to join the team.)

- Identify potential sponsor/partnership opportunities within the Murfreesboro area. You do not have to make the "ask" unless you feel comfortable. (Staff Partner and Student ALS Ambassador will work together to make the ask.) 

- Assist with Event Day executions of Walk to Defeat ALS Nashville


Tennessee Advocacy

- Encourage students to take action and advocate for patients & families living with ALS.

- Participate in Tennessee Advocacy Day


You and the local staff partner will also meet on a regular bases to discuss obstacles, local initiatives, activations, etc. The Local Staff Partner and Student Ambassador will work closely together to engage student involvement to drive The ALS Association's mission forward.

You will be supported by the local staff partner and have accessibility to contact them as questions or concerns come up. The Staff Partner and Student ALS Ambassador will meet periodically to discuss initiatives, activations, and walk alongside you to grow student engagement.
