Fall leaves, fresh air, birds flying over head… sound nice? Spend a beautiful fall day in the park as we help prepare the East Nashville Athletics ball fields for the end of their season. This is a great opportunity for sport lovers that want to give back to the community!
What will volunteers be doing?
Raking leaves, trimming edges of fields, killing weeds, removing banners, and anything else needed to winterize the ENA campus.
What do volunteers need to bring and what should they expect?
Water, gloves, and tools will be provided. Close toed shoes, long socks, and long pants are required for your safety. We'd recommend wearing sun protection and bringing a water bottle! The work will include shoveling, weeding, and other mildly strenuous activity. Depending on your level of mobility, this event may not be accessible for you.
If you sign up, you will receive an email a couple days before the event with more detailed information regarding parking and meeting place. Questions? Email me at cd@friendsofshelby.org.
