We provide 4 hours of respite care for families with special needs. You would show up at 3:30 to receive your assignment for the night. You would be partnered either with a buddy with special needs or a sibling. You will review your buddy's diagnosis and his/her information sheet. At 4 o'clock, the families show up and the night begins. We play games, do crafts, do other activities, eat a meal together, and watch movies. You stay with the buddy the whole night, but you are never fully alone with him/her. These are really fun nights that the volunteers and buddies alike enjoy. Families return for the children at 8 o'clock and you are free to go.
