Farm Friends at Mill Ridge Park

Description

Join us each week to work on a variety of farm related seasonal tasks at Mill Ridge Park to include:  
 
  • Planting, weeding, and mulching of the community orchard, gardens, and pumpkin patch
  • Park beautification, farmhouse repairs, etc. 
  • Accessing gardens may entail walking in tall grass. Dress for appropriate weather conditions and uneven brushy terrain. Gloves, equipment, and refreshments will be provided onsite.    

Mill Ridge Park is a 622+ acre regional park, centrally located in the fast-growing and diverse community of Southeast Davidson County. Friends of Mill Ridge Park enhances and advocates for Mill Ridge Park to strengthen the community in Southeast Davidson County. Friends of Mill Ridge Park hosts and facilitates community driven education, recreation, and conservation focused volunteer opportunities, as well as programmed activities that include seasonal guided hikes, kite fests, pumpkin patch parties, and night sky viewing parties.
