We are inviting you to attend our pollinator garden maintenance events in 2024. Our spring gardens are just bursting into life, and wildflowers are emerging quickly. These gardens provide a safe haven and diverse habitat for pollinator insects, birds, and wildlife. Please join us to maintain, marvel at, and learn about native wildflowers and insects.
We will be working on the pollinator gardens located on Marsden Avenue side of the school. Parking is available on the street.
You will be engaged in the following activities :
- light weeding
- maintaining the berms to protect the garden from erosion
- identifying and learning about native plants and pollinator species
TEC provides water (please bring your reusable water bottle) and snacks, and if you forget your garden gloves, we've got you covered. Feel free to bring your own garden tools (rake, hoe, wheelbarrow, shovel, etc.), and be sure to dress for the garden (closed-toed shoes, long-sleeve shirt, and long pants).
Contact our Pollinator Program Leader, Monika G Pretz PhD, monika@tectn.org if you have any questions.
