Join us to judge a high school debate tournament- no prior debate knowledge is required! We train our judges the morning of the tournament before round 1- You only need a willingness to listen and offer feedback to high school students.
Breakfast and lunch are provided, and we can provide reimbursements for Ubers or Lyfts for college students who do not have a car. The tournament takes place on Saturday, November 16 at James Lawson High School.
The Nashville Urban Debate League is a non-profit 501(c)3 that brings free debate education and competitions to high school students in MNPS. We practice a kind of debate called "Policy Debate" where students present a policy proposal, and the other side argues that the proposal is not a good solution.
