CreatiVets recently purchased a historic church building that they’re transforming into a creative community space for veterans. They are currently seeking volunteer support for the first phase of renovation.
Volunteers would assist with light demolition and prep tasks on Friday, July 12th, from 9 AM to 5 PM. No experience is necessary. It’s a hands-on opportunity to give back and help lay the foundation for something truly meaningful.

CreatiVets Demolition Day Information
Thank you so much for signing up to volunteer with us for Demolition Day at our new space - we’re so excited to have you on board as we begin transforming this historic church into a healing hub for veterans! Below are all the important details you’ll need for the day:
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, July 12
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Please arrive at the time you selected on your sign-up form).

Address: 5701 Robertson Ave, Nashville, TN 37209
Parking: Drive through the driveway off Robertson Ave and park in the lot behind the church. Parking is free.
What You Might Be Doing:
Some of the demo tasks include:
- Moving out old furniture
- Tearing up carpet throughout the building
- Taking down ceiling tiles and paneling
- Removing wall paneling and prying up floorboards
- Sweeping, clearing debris, and general site cleanup
Work areas will be assigned on-site when you arrive.
What to Bring & Wear:
We’ll have gloves, masks, and utility goggles available for anyone who needs them.
Please wear:
- Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We recommend lightweight, breathable clothing, as there is currently no air conditioning in the building.
- Sturdy, closed-toe shoes (required)
- Sunscreen (some outdoor work may be needed)
Food Info:
Water and food will be provided throughout the day. Feel free to bring any snacks along if you’d like, but note that we do not have a refrigerator to store them in.
Waiver Info:
We’ve attached the liability waiver we’ll ask everyone to sign onsite. Feel free to review it ahead of time, and reach out if you have any questions.
If Your Plans Change...
If you’re no longer able to attend or need to adjust your arrival time, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
