Volunteer to help put on Waterfest, a free kid-friendly festival in Goodlettsville’s Peay Park that celebrates our local streams and rivers! Hosted by the Cumberland River Compact with support from the City of Gallatin, the City of Goodlettsville, and the City of Hendersonville, this event combines education and summer fun!
Attendees of all ages will learn about the importance of water quality in our watershed by engaging in interactive displays, activities, and conversations with local environmental educators. Plus, there will be two waterslides, prizes, and a family-favorite dance party!
Volunteers will assist Cumberland River Compact staff with:
-
Setup of tents, tables, and other equipment
-
Welcoming and registering attendees
-
Directing cars for parking
-
A snow cone giveaway and dance party
-
Other tasks as needed to ensure the event flows smoothly
This volunteer opportunity is open to volunteers of all experience and ability levels and is a great opportunity to support a fun annual event for your community, or even to gain experience and get your feet wet (pun intended) in the world of event staffing and operations! Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.
Please note that volunteers will park at Goodlettsville City Hall and walk to Peay Park to check in.
