About the event
The Women's Sew & Chat is a 6 week long class for refugee and immigrant women focused on building community, strengthening connection and providing health education. Each class will be led by a sewing instructor and include a tea break where the NICE team will provide vital information on navigating healthcare, managing personal health and caring your mental well-being.
What will volunteers do?
Volunteers will provide supervision for children while their mothers/caregivers attend the Sew & Chat. The number of children attending varies week to week. Most children are between the ages of 0 and 5. Volunteers will serve alongside of a NICE staff member
