Fall Break Camp: Space - October 7 to October 11
Get ready to blast off into the cosmos and explore outer space in this out-of-this-world camp. Campers will explore the science of astronomy through hands-on simulations and activities. They will make rovers, launch rockets, and have the opportunity to see a planetarium show in our 63-foot dome theatre.
What to wear: Closed-toe shoes, comfortable & appropriate clothing.
Bring a refillable water bottle, a snack, and lunch!
When you arrive, you may enter through the front doors. Volunteers will sign in at the security desk, put their things away in the volunteer lounge, and then gather will the rest of camp for instruction.
ASC Volunteers work with counselors and other staff members during camp to provide campers with the best experience possible.
Volunteer Tasks and Duties During Camp:
- Assist staff in monitoring campers
- Gather supplies for camp counselors
- Help campers with activities and crafts
- Engage with campers & spread the FUN!
- Set a positive example
After signing up, volunteers will be sent a link to complete a free background check to ensure they are permitted to volunteer at the science center.
