Position Title: Volunteer Exhibit Curator
The Healing Arts Project, Inc., seeks a community-driven person to help curate relevant exhibition themes. This position requires a person to be able to volunteer a minimum of 2 hours a week.

As a Volunteer Exhibit Curator, you’ll play a pivotal role in curating and organizing art exhibitions that showcase artists' work in mental health and addiction recovery. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the success of HAPI’s mission.

Responsibilities:
Exhibition Planning: Collaborate with the HAPI team to review planned exhibition dates. Brainstorm themes that resonate with the organization’s mission and community. Select relevant artworks from HAPI’s collection or submissions.
Artwork Curation: Curate a cohesive and engaging exhibition based on the chosen theme. Consider visual impact, diversity of styles, and artists’ stories. Ensure artworks align with HAPI’s values and promote healing.
Exhibit Preparation: Coordinate logistics for installation, including layout, lighting, and signage. Work with staff coordinator to set up the exhibit space. Handle any necessary framing or presentation adjustments.
Exhibit Description and Promotion: Craft compelling exhibit descriptions that convey the theme and artists’ narratives. Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials. Utilize social media, newsletters, and community channels to promote the exhibition.
