Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Tennessee Craft!
Come join the fun at the "45th Annual Fall Tennessee Craft Fair", October 12 (load-in), 13 -15, and 16(clean-up)! Volunteering is a great way to connect directly with artists and contribute in a tangible way to the craft community. Whether you spend a morning, an afternoon or all day with us, the artists you meet will appreciate the gifts of your time and effort. And you'll get to be outdoors during Tennessee's beautiful fall weather in Nashville's iconic Centennial Park! Brenda M. volunteered recently at the Fair and says, "This was my first experience as a booth sitter and I was surprised at how much fun it was. The artists are so appreciative! Count me in for the next fair!"
Volunteers are a vital part of the success of Tennessee Craft fairs, and we need approximately 50 volunteers to best support our exhibiting artists—no experience necessary.

Fair Volunteer Tasks
- General Help
- Various tasks such as deliver morning news and shuttle service postcards, bring water to artists and other duties as needed. It is always helpful to have volunteers who are willing to jump in and help in any way they can.
- Load-in
- Help artists find their booth locations, navigate the fair layout, set up their booths in the proper spots and load-in their tents and artwork.
- Breakfast Tent (7 – 10 am)
- Under the guidance of the breakfast coordinator, you will work with other volunteers to prepare and serve breakfast to exhibiting artists in the Hospitality Tent. Sample activities include: cutting fruit, toasting bread/bagels, serving juice, etc.
- Welcome Tent or Fair Headquarters
- Throughout the fair volunteers in this area work energetically to welcome fairgoers, answer their questions, hand out program guides with the artist list and fair map and share our Tennessee Craft mission with those who want to know more. You will have assistance from the volunteer coordinator on how best to achieve these goals.
- Booth-sitter
- Booth-sitters check in with the volunteer coordinator, receive instruction and then provide breaks to our exhibiting artists. This allows artists a short lunch or bathroom break.
- Park Clean-up
- Help clean up park grounds Monday after the fair
- Volunteer Lead
- If you are interested in leading a group of volunteers, please email (tncraftvolunteer@gmail.com).
