This free, all-ages event celebrates our amazing planet and features music, a parade, arts activities for kids, sustainability initiatives and education, great food and drink, local vendors, a free tree giveaway and really good vibes!

ACT is looking for volunteers to assist on our community outing to Waldo's Chickens where our trainees participate in job sampling.   This outing is recurring on Thursdays.  

Meet @ ACT @ 9:30, travel together to Waldos in Nolensville and return to ACT after the shift. 

While at Waldo's our trainees assist with refilling napkins, refilling condiments, and preparing biscuits, etc.   

Cumberland is excited to host our ISOA BEEM Career Fair on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 11am-2pm. The Fair is designed to expose elementary children to a myriad of career options. It is unrealistic to believe that children will grow up and have a successful career if they have no concept of the options available to them and if they have never been exposed to successful professionals.

We are seeking career professionals to set up a booth displaying information on your company and/or profession, give a brief presentation to each group of students as they move throughout the fair, and provide handouts and/or child-friendly promotional items for about 500 students.

We provide respite care for parents and caregivers of individuals with disabilities (ages 6th grade and up). Currently, we offer this free service to families in our community, not only church members. During this time, participants enjoy prayer, fellowship, activities, and service projects while parents and caregivers enjoy a evening to rest and reconnect. We would love to have you join us for our volunteer dinner and quick training/prayer time before our friends come for a fun evening. 

The Nashville Dolphins are seeking compassionate volunteers who are comfortable getting in the water with swimmers who have special needs. Volunteers work under the direction of certified Lead Instructors, who provide ongoing guidance, training, and support. No prior experience is necessary—just a genuine desire to help provide life-saving swim skills to some truly special swimmers. This hands-on opportunity is especially valuable for individuals pursuing careers or certifications in special education, education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medicine, social work, or other service-oriented fields. Volunteers gain meaningful experience while building confidence, skills, and connections. Come ready to learn, make a difference, and have fun in the water while supporting swimmers of all abilities.

Appraisal Institute (AI) is a national non-profit educational and membership organization that focuses on commercial and residential property appraisers. AI will be hosting the 2026 Annual Conference in Nashville, TN. We are looking for volunteers to assist us during this event.

Shelby Park is home to many different athletic fields and courses, most of which are taken care of by small (but hard-working) crews. Come lend a hand as we help these dedicated park partners get their facilities ready for peak season!What will volunteers be doing at this event?Volunteers will help athletic partners prepare their fields and courses for children and community members to play games, practice, and make memories. They will help by removing tree and leaf debris, rake fields, repair fences, and anything else that the athletic partners might need an extra hand with.What is the community impact of this event?Thousands of children and families use Shelby Park's athletic fields for games, practices, making memories, and gaining community. Neighborhood athletic teams foster inclusivity, youth development, and a sense of belonging from kindergarten up to adult leagues. By preparing these fields alongside their steward organizations, volunteers will help maintain important community pillars that are vital to the health and wellbeing of Shelby's neighbors.Accessibility:All athletic fields in Shelby Park are on unpaved, grassy areas. This means volunteers will need to be able to move across unpaved and uneven ground. Depending on the season, there are usually either restrooms on site or port-a-potties nearby. All parking in Shelby Park is free and typically a short walk from the worksite. Please keep in mind that all work done at athletic fields will be outside.What should volunteers bring or wear?For your safety, volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes. Do you enjoy spending time in nature? What about serving public lands?  Join us for both at the same time! Miles upon miles of trails wind through Shelby Park and Bottoms, allowing park visitors to exercise and connect with nature. To maintain this invaluable shared asset, we will venture into the park to provide maintenance for the natural surface trails. What will volunteers be doing at this event?Volunteers will be transporting and spreading mulch on the primitive trail to smooth areas that fill with water and/or get muddy when it rains. Using shovels and rakes, we will lay mulch over these areas to make them passable for trail users. We'll also occasionally clean off interpretive signs of any debris and trim back plants to make the trailheads more visible.What is the community impact of this event?By keeping trails dry and visible, we increase access to the outdoors to visitors who are unfamiliar with the layout of the park and bottoms. Clearing off debris, evening out the walking path, and cleaning off signs allows visitors to autonomously enjoy the park without feeling uncertain of where they are or unsafe on the terrain. Accessibility:This event will include walking with tools in hand over a mixture of paved and unpaved surfaces. We will be pushing wheelbarrows of mulch down the trail to unload and spread on the trail using hard rakes. Do you love conservation? Want to work outdoors to protect the natural ecosystems of Shelby Park and Bottoms? We need you!

Shelby Park and Bottoms is a natural oasis in the heart of the city. The forests here are a refuge for people and wildlife alike. Our Shelby forests need help: they are being overtaken by invasive plant species. Through our Restore the Forest program, we remove invasive species and replant native species to revitalize a healthy forest ecosystem.

What is the community impact of this event?

Healthy forests are beautiful for park visitors, provide food and shelter for wildlife and make our local ecosystem more resilient by promoting and enhancing growth of native plant species.

What will volunteers be doing at this event?

At this event, we will be uprooting and cutting down honeysuckle and privet plants with weed wrenches, loppers, and hand saws. They will work in small groups under the supervision of experienced staff that will help teach proper plant identification and safe tool usage.

Accessibility:

This event will include hiking while carrying heavy tools over uneven ground, and we will be working off-trail within the woods. Please dress according to the weather. Porta-potties are located a short walk from our worksite, and there should always be ample parking located nearby the worksite.

What to bring?

I recommend bringing your own water bottle and sunscreen. Water, gloves, all necessary tools, and additional water will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes that are good for gardening (e.g. hiking boots), long socks, and long pants to protect yourselves from sticks and thorns in the forest. If possible, long sleeved shirts can also be helpful for protection, but please dress according to the weather.

Our annual Recreation Open House helps the community discover all the ways to play in the park. This family-friendly event has activities, games and demonstrations with over 40 activity groups, visits from the Titans and Sounds, and free food for the first 400 visitors. With so much going on, we would love some extra hands to make it all happen.

What will volunteers be doing at this event?

Volunteers will help run the event by setting up tables and tents, cooking and wrapping hot dogs, handing out food and drinks to visitors, and guiding children through an inflatable obstacle course.

What is the community impact of this event?

This event brings hundreds of families, friends, and children together to celebrate springtime recreation programs. By helping Friends of Shelby host the event, you'll help connect people with programs and clubs that will get them active, help them make new friends, and make the park a more welcoming place to be.

Accessibility:

This will take place at the Shelby Park Community Center, with most of the area being paved. You will be asked to bend, reach, pick up items that could weigh 10-15 pounds, and talk with the community that is visiting. There are restrooms located inside and street parking around the Center. Please note: if you plan on driving, we'd recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early in case you need to walk a short distance, as parking can become sparse. The number 4 WeGo route does drop off at the Community Center.

What should volunteers bring or wear?

Volunteers will be given a Friends of Shelby shirt to wear and keep as a thank you. Please dress according to the weather, layers are always recommended in case it gets warm or cold. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring your own water bottle, if possible.

Raise Your Hand Tutoring provides free academic intervention to students in Montgomery, Robertson, and Williamson Counties. We serve several local elementary and middle schools that would benefit from your help as a volunteer tutor. As a volunteer tutor, you will work alongside a teacher to provide small-group reading intervention to our students.

We offer flexible scheduling with several locations either in the morning before school or after school. Our sessions are year round with a Spring, Summer, and Fall session - You only have to sign up for one hour a week for the duration of the session.

Join Nashville college students, faculty, and staff from nine area colleges & universities in honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. King in a day of learning, action, and reflection. This year's program will feature a student panel in the morning, and then participants will head out into the community to serve at over 20 service sites around the city!

The Hermitage is looking for volunteers for Andrew Jackson’s 259th Birthday Celebration on Sunday, March 15 between 10:30am to 3:30pm.

Volunteers can gain hands-on experience, engage with history, and earn service hours while supporting our educational programs and events. Volunteers will help with hands-on activities, event setup, and visitor engagement, ensuring a fun and memorable celebration for all attendees.

March 21st is recognized as World Down Syndrome Awareness Day (3.21), a day we celebrate everyone with a third copy of the 21st chromosome, or as we like to say, that "something extra.". 3.21 is celebrated across the world in many different ways. DSAMT will celebrate all of those with something extra at our annual World Down Syndrome Awareness Day Celebration on March 21, 2026 at Donelson First Baptist Church (2526 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37214).

Volunteers needed to assist from 10:00am - 3:00pm.

10a - 12p we will be setting up, moving tables, and decorating.
12p - 2p Families will be present at which time we will need assistance with different activity tables to include a photo booth, games, merchandise sales, and picking up and cleaning up after participants.

Our Illuminate Art fundraising Gala is a one-of-a-kind Nashville event that provides a premiere platform for artists experiencing housing insecurity to showcase their work and earn income, as well as help our organization raise much needed funds to provide studio space, art supplies, and more so the artists can keep creating. We are looking for volunteers to help us during our Art Gala event on Saturday, March 28th by helping with set-up and tear down, will-call/ticket sales, monitoring the silent auction, art sales, and more.

Join us by serving at Cheekwood’s annual festival of flowers, Red, White and Blooms!

Volunteers help as greeters, 2 volunteer shifts per day.  CELL NUMBER and EMAIL are required to be confirmed.

Join us for a walking clean up along the Richland Creek Greenway at Lion’s Head Trailhead! By removing litter and pollution from the banks of the creek, we’ll help protect and restore streamside habitats for Tennessee’s wildlife while safeguarding water quality. We’ll collect trash and debris and learn more about how to be a life-long clean water advocate and river steward. Trash grabbers, gloves, and trash bags will be provided. If you have your own gloves, feel free to bring them! Please bring your own water bottle to help us cut down on plastic waste.

The neighborhoods we serve are home to more single-mother-led households than 97% of neighborhoods in America. With single moms and their kids being our primary demographic of reach, we have a ministry just for moms, Dream Streets Moms Group. The women meet twice a month, enjoy a meal together, and also receive counseling services and other classes that provide growth opportunities emotionally, professionally, and financially. Childcare is also provided during this time so they can enjoy each other’s company knowing their kids are taken care of.

We need your help to provide childcare for these moms while they are meeting.

ABOUT THE STORE: The Store operates as a free grocery store allowing people to shop for their basic needs. Our mission is to nourish communities and cultivate hope by providing nutritious food choices and access to supportive services in a dignified, loving environment. This volunteer opportunity will allow you to make a tangible impact upon the local community. You'll be helping provide wholesome food to families and the food insecure in a welcoming environment while protecting dignity and fostering hope.

ABOUT THE SHIFT: Every Wednesday and Thursday morning we have volunteers help us with restocking shelves and preparing the store for customer shopping. Volunteers will be stocking shelves, deep cleaning the produce sections, restocking the produce, stacking pallets, organizing the storage room, or other miscellaneous tasks. You should be able to lift over fifty pounds, as this shift involves physical labor.

ABOUT THE SHIFT: Every Wednesday and Thursday morning we have volunteers help us with restocking shelves and preparing the store for customer shopping. You should be able to lift over fifty pounds, as this shift involves physical labor.

GARDEN HELPERS: The Store has partnered with the Edgehill Community Gardens and has a dedicated garden plot for us to grow produce. We use this to stock our fresh produce section. We are looking for volunteers who can help with general garden bed maintenance, which could include weeding, tilling, planting, watering, harvesting and other miscellaneous garden tasks.

The Irish Network Nashville is looking for volunteers for the 4th Annual Official Nashville St. Patrick’s Day Parade + Festival in Five Points!

Nashville's St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a vibrant celebration that fills the streets with green attire, lively music, and festive floats. Participants and onlookers alike enjoy the traditional Irish dancing and the sounds of bagpipes as the parade winds its way through the city. Alongside the parade, local pubs and eateries often offer special menus and themed events, enhancing the festive atmosphere. The event provides a great opportunity for the community to come together in a shared celebration of Irish heritage and culture.

Volunteers are needed to help bring the magic to East Nashville St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival and Five Points! From the Kids Area to parade lineup + route support, VIP check-in, Irish Village, and more — there’s a spot for every kind of helper.

Head Middle School is seeking volunteers to visit 7th and 8th grade classrooms and share about their career and career journeys. Through this speaker series, we hope to expose students to the paths people have taken to their profession!

This opportunity is perfect for recent college graduates and young professionals. All industries from engineers to artists are encouraged to participate!

Glengarry Elementary School is having a Career Fair on May 6th from 1PM to 3PM and we need your help!

We would like to have as many careers represented as possible. We want our students to get a wide variety of jobs and experiences. We would like to invite you to come and have a table at our career fair. Students will move from table to table learning about all the jobs. Please be able to explain your job within a few minutes and feel free to bring information for students to take. We will try and have an interpreter for you if needed. However, if you speak Spanish or have someone that could come with you, that is a bonus.

Join us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 for invasive plant removal and tree planting at the Native American Indian Association of Tennessee‘s Cultural Center! We’ll contribute to preparation and land care for this important space and learn more about protecting land and water in Tennessee. Weed Wrangle® is a one-day, area-wide, volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from non-native invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines, and flowering plants. Planting trees and removing invasive plant species from our watersheds aligns with Harpeth Conservancy’s mission to protect and restore clean water and healthy ecosystems for rivers in Tennessee. Gloves and tools will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes, pants, and bring your own water bottle to help us cut down on plastic waste.

About the Hunt

What began as a small, community Egg Hunt 21 years ago by former Metro Nashville Council Member and former MNPS Metro Nashville Public Schools board member Karen Johnson, has turned into the Southeast Nashville Egg Hunt & Festival Event (SEE) with over 7,000 in attendance each year.

A group of community leaders plan this all-day event that includes egg hunts for all ages, vendor booths, a character parade, live entertainment, inflatables and special prizes.

Leaders from our government, schools, churches and community come together to provide this fun day for the families in our growing multi-cultural community.

On Thursday, April 2nd, PENCIL will host an all-day Proctor Party to prepare and match volunteer test proctors for Metro Schools in need. A proctor is required by law to help ensure the testing environment is secure and maintain test integrity. Every Metro School will need volunteer test proctors, and PENCIL is here to help!

The Proctor Party will be hosted both Virtually and In-Person throughout the day. See the schedule below.

Generally, school testing begins the week of April 13th and ends the first week in May. There will be LOTS of opportunities to proctor tests throughout these 5 weeks! All hands on deck!

We are pleased to extend an invitation for you to participate in the STARS on the Rise: Exploring College & Careers at John F. Kennedy Middle School event scheduled for March 18, 2026. Your professional expertise would provide invaluable insight as our students explore a wide range of future educational and career opportunities. Many of our students have limited exposure to the diverse career pathways available to them, and your involvement would offer meaningful, first-hand knowledge.

The event will take place at John F. Kennedy Middle School, located at 2087 Hobson Pike, Antioch, TN 37013. Each presenter will be assigned a designated area for setup. Presentations should consist of a 10‑minute overview followed by 5 minutes of student questions, for a total of 15 minutes per session. The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., with an arrival time of 10:15 a.m. If these times conflict with your availability, we would be glad to make reasonable accommodations.

A light lunch will be provided prior to the start of the presentations. To enhance engagement, presenters are encouraged to bring professional materials, tools, artifacts, or other visual aids relevant to their field. Presenters are also welcome to provide small tokens or informational items from their organization for students, if desired.

Our Family Resource Center includes a dedicated supply room where students and families can access essential items with dignity. The space is stocked with food, hygiene products, and a variety of clean, season‑appropriate clothing. Everything is arranged neatly to make the room feel welcoming, organized, and easy to navigate. Students, faculty, and families are encouraged to take what they need in a comfortable, private setting. Our goal is to ensure every student feels supported, cared for, and ready to succeed.

Mondays and/or Fridays in 2+ hour shifts between the hours of 8:30am-3:30pm.

Dress comfortably and please wear closed-toe shoes.

We welcome volunteers of any number—individuals or groups up to about 10 people comfortably.

There is free parking in the side lot and on the surrounding streets. Please ring the doorbell and report to the front desk.

There is a project for everyone! Whether you prefer to lift boxes or need a seated task, we can accommodate you. Tasks may include:

On Wednesday nights, our one-on-one buddies provide supports that allow our friends to be engaged either in their age-appropriate ministry and/or our Special Needs Ministry area. We offer support during the Wednesday night programming from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.

You will not need to assist anyone in the bathroom, but you may color or build with legos or read a book or even push a swing. We share the gospel in all of these ways so that they can learn about God in the way that best suits their learning style.

James Lawson High School would like to invite you to participate in their upcoming College and Career Fair on TUESDAY, April 14. This event will serve approximately 400 junior students and provide them with meaningful exposure to post secondary and career opportunities. Students will attend in two separate groups. Student Participation Time: 8:25–10:40 a.m.

By sharing your career story, you will help inspire our students—from Kindergarten through 5th grade—and open their eyes to the many possibilities their futures can hold. Our students are eager learners, and your participation would make a meaningful impact.

Grab some friends and get creative!

Volunteers will work in groups to prepare a reading circle for Family Literacy Day. The group will choose a theme, bring books to match the theme, and read with pre-K through 6th graders from Nashville public schools and the community during Family Literacy Day.

Reading Circles will happen continuously from 1-4pm. Individual volunteers are not required to be present for all three hours, but there should be at least 2-3 people present at each Reading Circle at all times.

The Martha O'Bryan Center needs upbeat, positive volunteers to assist in the food pantry. On Mondays and Thursdays, volunteers will be able to help with unloading deliveries. Every day of the week, volunteers will be able to work alongside clients to 'shop' in our food pantry and pick out the items that will serve them the most. Volunteers will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the premises, bringing heavier boxes out to client cars.

On a foundation of Christian faith, Martha O’Bryan Center empowers children, youth, and adults in poverty to transform their lives through work, education, employment and fellowship.

The Martha O’Bryan Center is an anti-poverty non-profit organization with longstanding history and deep community roots, founded in 1894. Our headquarter campus sits in the East Nashville public housing campus of Cayce Place, currently transforming into the mixed-income neighborhood Boscobel Heights.  This is where we operate most of our programs, supporting education goals for learners of all ages, empowering youth and adults in their careers, and providing stability and support services for individuals and families.

Help us bring some cheer to isolated seniors, seniors in nursing homes and/or disabled individuals in our communities by sending them heartfelt letters, letting them know that we care and haven't forgotten about them.

We are looking for uplifting letters that will bring their recipients some joy!

This month we are looking for Spring themed letters and cards. You can incorporate the theme through art, by making your own themed cards and within the message of your letter.

If you are interested in sending letters and/or art to seniors in the community, please sign up below and include in your response (in the notes) how many letters you would like to write. I will contact you with specific instructions for the letters and the address to send them to. Children are welcome to contribute also (an adult is required for minors to sign up).

 
We are looking to have this round of letters completed and received by their recipients by 04/30/2026. Please allow a couple of days for mailing and distribution. 
 
Volunteers will be required to have their own materials for the letters and any additional artwork you'd like to add, as well as stamps to mail the letters on hand (or you must be able to take them to the post office). I will try my best to provide you with one address for your letters so you can mail them together in a large envelope. 

Please allow 48 hours for me to get back to you with the instructions. 

If you are in need of community service hours, I am happy to confirm your hours for you. Please submit pictures of your letters as proof. We will be tracking and logging the actual time you spent working on the letters/cards and do NOT assign a specific number of letters per hour. Please check with your institution if they have specific requirements of how many letters you need to complete to get your hours approved.

GNRC will have a booth at Robertson Co.'s CommUNITY Care and Connections Fair. We will share information about GNRC Aging and Disability Programing and our Medicare Counseling Program (SHIP).

Volunteers need to track how many people see the booth, greet passers-by, and give GNRC/SHIP information as appropriate. Volunteers will need to transport a folding table and chair.

Assist Davidson county residents in responding to the recent winter ice storm. We are working with multiple local organizations to respond. Projects range in scope from distributing food, to canvassing, to debris removal. To see a full list of partner projects, visit our winter projects listing page here.

The Nature Discovery Program is a partnership between Friends of Warner Parks, the Warner Park Nature Center, and Metro Parks Community Centers to reach youth who lack direct access to, and are often underrepresented in, traditional environmental education and outdoor recreation programs. The Nature Discovery Program is activated in a number of ways including:

Nature Detectives Club: an after-school program for youth at Metro Nashville Community Centers. This program provides science-based teachings and empowers kids to explore nature. This program takes place at more than 20 Community Centers throughout Davidson County. 

P.E.N. Pals (People Exploring Nature) Summer Camp: brings youth from Metro Parks Community Centers to the Warner Parks for a full day of nature exploration and outdoor adventure! Youth follow their curiosity as they explore the meadow, pond, and garden ecosystems, hike through the forest, observe wildlife, kayak, learn outdoor skills, search for crawdads in the Little Harpeth River, and create lasting memories in nature. 

P.E.N. Pals (People Exploring Nature) Fall Campfire & Night Hikes: Community Center youth experience the Warner Parks during the fall season. Earlier sunsets and cooler temperatures mean it's time to roast hot dogs, make s'mores, and enjoy time around the bonfire. Youth take a crepuscular hike through the meadows and forests of the Warner Parks and view the night sky while learning about nocturnal creatures. 

*We are looking for college-aged volunteers to participate in any of these branches of the Nature Discovery program, as the youth often find it easier to connect with this age group. This opportunity is wonderful for those who are interested in education, biology, sustainability, or environmental studies.*

Meal of Hope is our weekly meal for the homeless & inner-city community! Join us for live music, prayer, an encouraging word, and fellowship with a loving community over a hot meal. Volunteers arrive at 5 PM and we welcome guests at 5:30 PM.

There are opportunities to serve during and after the meal is served. Once we finish cleanup, we'll conclude the night with testimonies! See below for a few service options!

At Johnson ALC we are hosting a Happy Health Day event on March 26, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 2:20 PM. We will be rotating the students through sessions, and we would greatly appreciate it if you could lead a group session incorporating a focus on one of the 9 Dimensions of Wellness (cultural, financial, environmental, spiritual, occupational, social, intellectual, emotional, and physical).

We are seeking volunteers with the following experience in the following areas to support and inspire students: Interview and resume building skills, small business ownership, entrepreneurship, dentistry, truck driving (CDL), workplace professionalism, career readiness, and barbering.

We would like these sessions to be as interactive as possible and will have rotating slots for 30 minutes or 1-hour sessions, for the entire day. You can select a half-day shift and if you would like to participate for the entire day, you can select both! There will be breakfast, lunch and light refreshments for participants. If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to the possibility of having you involved. 

Daybreak Arts is seeking enthusiastic and creative volunteers to support our brand new youth art program, Gigi's Creative Corner. Volunteers will assist Daybreak Artists teaching youth during workshops and helping lead creative activities. This is a weekly, hands-on, and ongoing volunteer opportunity to inspire young artists. Opportunities will start as soon as March 2026.

Through partnerships with schools and community organizations, Gigi’s Creative Corner provides hands-on art workshops, sustained creative opportunities, and welcoming environments where youth can explore their artistic voice, build relationships, and develop a sense of belonging. Gigi’s Creative Corner meets young people where they already are—integrating art into afterschool programs, school-based clubs, and summer experiences. 

Volunteering with Gigi’s Creative Corner allows you to directly support young people as they build confidence, creativity, and meaningful connections through art—while honoring the legacy of an artist who believed deeply in sharing creativity with the next generation.

Please arrive at 2:15 pm to Cheatham Place Apartments, 1536 Delta Ave. 37208 beside building 59, and park on the street. Wait for the Dream Streets mobile food truck to arrive and introduce yourself to the driver. You will help unload, set up, distribute and clean up after the free grocery distribution.

Metro Nashville Public Schools is hosting its 2nd Annual MNPS Elementary Music Festival where all of the Elementary Schools come together to produce one concert. This year's event will be hosted on April 30th at Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC). Months of planning goes into this festival, and we are seeking 10 volunteers to help us make this day a huge success!

Help us host our first Story Stroll, an interactive event where children enjoy a story—read in both English and Spanish—while moving through hands-on activity stations. Volunteers may read the book or assist with activities like planting seeds, crafts, chalk art, a scavenger hunt, or cupcake decorating. Training and support will be provided onsite by our staff. Each year, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society hosts Walk MS: Nashville, a powerful community event that raises over $170,000 to fund essential programs, services, and research for people in our region living with multiple sclerosis. We are thrilled to announce that our 2026 event will take place on Saturday, March 28th.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a fun and rewarding day. We are seeking volunteers to support various event areas, including setup and breakdown, registration, rest stops, food and beverage stations, and other special event activities.

Senior Ride Nashville is growing our volunteer driver team! Drivers use their own vehicles to transport seniors to community centers, medical appointments, grocery stores, beauty/barber shops and more. Help a senior get where they need to go and make a friend in the process! Volunteer shifts are flexible and scheduled at your convenience using an easy online tool. SRN provides rides Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

It is Senior Ride Nashville’s mission to enrich the lives of older adults and engage them in the community by providing affordable and assisted transportation.

Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 6:30pm as we partner with the Hispanic Family Foundation to provide after school tutoring to refugee and immigrant children in East Nashville (no prior tutoring experience required)! For those that don't have homework, they need help with grammar and practicing conversational English! 

This will take place at the tables in the middle of Plaza Mariachi (3955 Nolensville Pike).

During the weekdays, we offer community and enrichment classes for adults impacted by disability. Volunteer opportunities look like supporting students in small groups during day classes. This is along with a classroom teacher and a vetted Embrace volunteer. While attending the classes with the friends to help them engage with the lesson, you may get to join in on an inclusive dance lesson, music therapy class, help make a frozen meal for our service project, join Brentwood Library in a craft, or pray with us during our Bible Class. There is always something different happening and some friends just need a little prompt to get up and have some fun.  *** Please reach out if you wish to attend but only able to come for part of the day. We still welcome you even if you need to leave early to head to a class or work. 

The Nashville Dolphins are seeking compassionate volunteers who are comfortable getting in the water with swimmers who have special needs. Volunteers work under the direction of certified Lead Instructors, who provide ongoing guidance, training, and support. No prior experience is necessary—just a genuine desire to help provide life-saving swim skills to some truly special swimmers. This hands-on opportunity is especially valuable for individuals pursuing careers or certifications in special education, education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medicine, social work, or other service-oriented fields. Volunteers gain meaningful experience while building confidence, skills, and connections.
