Creative Support Peer Team volunteers provide encouragement, guidance, and hands-on assistance to Daybreak Arts artists. Peer Support can be professional artists or community volunteers who want to help emerging artists succeed. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys supporting others, celebrating creativity, and being part of a collaborative learning environment.

Timeline

Begin June 2026Artist Solo Shows - July 2026

Responsibilities

Check in regularly with artists to provide support, encouragement, and guidance on program activities.Assist with hands-on learning, including helping artists set up and install artwork, complete forms or paperwork, and manage materials.Celebrate artists’ successes and help troubleshoot challenges in a supportive, constructive way.Participate in team meetings or check-ins with program staff to stay aligned on artist progress and needs.Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.

Qualifications / Skills

Passion for supporting artists and the arts community.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate, encourage, and actively listen.Flexible and able to adapt to the needs of individual artists.No formal art experience required, though a familiarity with artistic practices is a plus.
