Use your creativity to make a real difference by handcrafting hats to help keep our neighbors without shelter warm and cared for. These hats will be received by our partner People Loving Nashville, whose mission is focused on sharing love and dignity with the unhoused & most vulnerable of Nashville by bringing relief. Are you interested? Use your creativity to make a real difference by handcrafting ribbon wands and snuffle mats for animals in need.These toys will be recieved by our partner Pawster, whose mission is focused on suporting people and pers during times of crisis. Are you interested? Assist Davidson county residents in responding to the recent winter ice storm. We are working with multiple local organizations to respond. Projects range in scope from distributing food, to canvassing, to debris removal. To see a full list of partner projects, visit our winter projects listing page here.

You will need to make a Hands On account to join any of these projects. You will not sign up for these projects via the GetConnected platform but you can log your hours after serving here on Get Connected.

Hands On Nashville is your one-stop shop for volunteer resources in Middle Tennessee. We partner with more than 160 nonprofits and have an online calendar that makes signing up to volunteer quick and easy. You can choose when, where, and who you want to serve — after confirming your registration we email you everything you need to know prior to your volunteer service. 

Our volunteer coordinators are kind and responsive and can verify volunteers' hours easily through our online portal.

All projects have an opportunity coordinator listed to answer any questions you may have leading up to the project. We recommend reaching out directly to them about this project, as they will have better insight into project requirements than Hands On Nashville might.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic. Hands On has prioritized ways for volunteers to give of their time while remote. Through our Virtual Volunteerism page, we curate an updated list of virtual volunteer opportunities. These include orientations, social media internships, tutoring opportunities, and more.
