Come be part of an incredible weekend of competition, community, and impact. We can’t wait to have you ALL IN for Fall Games!

Come help us teach swimming and water safety to special needs swimmers.  Our volunteers support swimmers in the water while being led by our certified instructors.  Get experience working with people with a wide range of diagnoses and collect serious smiles along the way!  You do not need experience or training, just a desire to make a huge difference in the lives of our swimmers and their families.  All classes run from September to November.  Come for one class or the entire session.  Classes are totally free to participants and their families because of our amazing volunteers. WE NEED YOU!

The Hustle for the House 5k and 1 mile fun-run is an event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities– and you can even register Fido!  The race will start and finish at the Nashville Ronald McDonald House and follow a scenic, certified loop through the Hillsboro West End Neighborhood.  We are looking for both participants and volunteers.

Join us Sundays giving fresh free groceries to those in need! We will meet at the West Nashville Dream Center (520 39th Ave N) to sort and package boxes of food. We will then drive to to our West Nashville location to distribute. More info on our website!

Volunteers from the local community gather at DPC every Saturday from 8:30am – 10:30am to serve a free sit-down meal, distribute essentials, and offer a space of respite to those in need within our community.  We are always excited to welcome additional volunteers – bring a friend, your family, co-workers, or small group! 

Complimentary parking is provided in the SP+ garage on 4th Ave. Consider serving just 1 Saturday each quarter, or perhaps even once a month.

As a Sunday Morning Buddy, you'll build a meaningful relationship with a child, student, or adult with disabilities by providing encouragement and support during worship and Bible study. Buddies help individuals participate in an environment where they can learn about Jesus, build friendships, and experience belonging.

Volunteers serve from 9:15–10:45 AM alongside experienced leaders in one of our age-based ministries: Preschool, Kids, Students, or Adults. We'll help place you in the classroom or group that best matches your interests and comfort level.

No previous experience is required. We'll provide training, encouragement, and ongoing support as you grow in confidence and build meaningful relationships.

This opportunity is ideal for students exploring careers in special education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, ministry, or other helping professions—but anyone with a heart to serve is welcome.

As a Wednesday Night Buddy, you'll build a meaningful relationship with a child, student, or adult with disabilities while participating in worship, Bible study, small groups, and community activities. Buddies provide encouragement and support so that every individual can grow in their faith, build friendships, and experience the love of Christ in a welcoming environment.

Volunteers serve from 5:45–7:45 PM alongside experienced leaders in one of our age-based ministries: Preschool, Kids, Students, or Adults. We'll help place you in the classroom or group that best matches your interests and comfort level.

No previous experience is required. We'll provide training, encouragement, and ongoing support as you grow in confidence and build meaningful relationships.

This opportunity is ideal for students exploring careers in special education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, art therapy, speech-language pathology, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, ministry, or other helping professions—but anyone with a heart to serve is welcome.

Give parents a morning to recharge while creating a fun and memorable experience for a child or sibling.

Embrace Special Needs Ministry hosts monthly respite events for families impacted by disability, providing children with a safe, engaging environment while parents enjoy a few hours of rest.

As a Respite Buddy, you'll be paired one-on-one with a child with a disability or their sibling (ages 3–11) for a morning filled with fun, friendship, and encouragement. During our August event, we'll enjoy water slides, a dance party, snacks, and a movie.

Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing that can get wet, as you'll likely join in—or at least get splashed! Breakfast and a brief volunteer orientation will be provided before the event begins.

This opportunity is perfect for students interested in special education, therapy, psychology, social work, ministry, nursing, or anyone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful impact.

All volunteers must complete Brentwood Baptist Church's volunteer onboarding process, including a background check, prior to serving. If you're interested, we'd love to help you get started.

The Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee is inviting all new and expecting parents of babies with Down syndrome to be showered with gifts and friendship, while enjoying lunch with some of our experienced parents.

Because the entire family is welcome to attend, we need volunteers to assist with decorating and set-up, keeping children both with Down syndrome and siblings occupied so families can eat and talk, sometimes including holding new babies, and then clean up after the event. Lunch will be provided by DSAMT. We do ask you please be free of any possible illness as some attendees will be medically fragile.

Volunteers help greet patrons, answer questions, give directions, collect donations, and distribute surveys. Some volunteers will have specialized assignments helping with merchandise or concessions sales.

Volunteers should arrive by 5:00 p.m. before their scheduled performance and plan to stay until after intermission. You can sign up to volunteer for a single night, multiple nights or the entire run. Volunteers who work multiple nights are extremely valuable as they get to know the routine and make everything run more smoothly.

Free parking in any lot in Centennial Park or on unmarked side streets or $1/hr parking on 25th Ave N.

Celebrate the Fall season by volunteering for our Harvest Weekends at Cheekwood!  Volunteers help as greeter/way finders and in our pumpkin village.

About the event

Musicians Corner in Centennial Park seeks volunteers to assist with their 2026 fall concert events scheduled from August to September. These concerts are free for the community and we can’t make them happen without your help! Most shifts are Friday nights but we also have two daytime shifts available on September 5th and 6th over Labor Day Weekend. 

About Musicians Corner: Musicians Corner, a program of The Centennial Park Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, supports emerging artists and provides inclusive arts enrichment and educational programming for adults and youth. Musicians Corner presents free music events in Nashville's downtown Centennial Park in partnership with the City of Nashville and local music industry, showcasing over 1,200 artists since its inception in 2010, and presenting legends like Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, The Blind Boys Of Alabama, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band. As part of the Centennial Park Restoration, a permanent home has been built for Musicians Corner, as a cultural meeting place of community engagement that promotes arts education, supports artists, and fosters a love of the arts among adults and children.

What will volunteers need to bring or wear?

Closed toe shoes recommended, the show goes on rain or shine - please dress appropriately for the weather. You are welcome to bring a folding chair or blanket as you will likely have time to relax and enjoy the concert during part of your service.

The Middle Tennessee Highland Games celebrates Celtic music, culture, and games. It is Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville.

The Tennessee Breast Coalition is a non-profit beneficiary of the event.  During the event we manage the Kids Zone at which we assist young attendees with Celtic-inspired games and crafts.

HopeWalk is HopeKids Middle Tennessee’s annual community celebration and fundraiser, bringing HopeKids families, supporters, and local businesses together for a day of hope and fun. Join us as we walk, run, or roll together while enjoying family-friendly activities, games, entertainment, community booths, and more. About HopeKids: Our vision is to restore hope and transform the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and our mission is to provide ongoing events, activities, and a strong, supportive community for these families.

This year’s theme is “Heroes of Hope”! Families are encouraged to dress as their favorite superheroes, and volunteers are welcome to join the fun with costumes or superhero-themed attire if they’d like. Costumes are completely optional. Please wear comfortable, casual, family-friendly attire that is appropriate for being outdoors and serving throughout the event. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Volunteers will assist at various stations, help with setup and teardown, cheer on walkers, and more.

Harpeth Conservancy's annual fundraiser - River Swing on Saturday, September 19th - provides the critical funding we need to carry out our mission: to protect clean water & rivers in Tennessee.

The Annual Wine on the River will be hosted at Riverfront Park in Downtown Nashville for the 24th year.  The event will be held on Saturday, September 12th from 2pm to 7pm.  A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit local charity The DISTRICT. 

We are looking for volunteers to help with ticketing and to monitor our entrances, and runners to help bring ice around to vendors, help empty the dump buckets, give breaks, etc. You will be sent a confirmation email to be a volunteer along with all event information a week before the event! (by 9/6)
