Tennesseans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty

Who We Are

We work toward fulfilling our mission through education, grassroots organizing, and advocating a change in public policy. TADP conducts rallies and vigils, educational forums, speaks across the state, and encourages editorial and letter writing campaigns through local media. Additionally, TADP has three annual events: Justice Day where constituents speak directly to Tennessee legislators about this broken system; the TADP Student Conference aimed at educating college and high school students on the death penalty; and a fundraiser concert.

What We Do

Tennesseans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty seeks to honor life by abolishing Tennessee's death penalty as we urge the state not to take a human life in our name. TADP has over 5,000 supporters and several chapters across the state including chapters in Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville.
