Who We Are

HeartBound Ministries has served incarcerated people, their families, and correctional staff across Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Mississippi for over 20 years. Through strategic partnerships and our dedicated volunteers and staff, we help to break generational cycles of crime and incarceration by providing purposeful programming to the prison community so that incarcerated people return to their families and communities as transformed individuals.

What We Do

HeartBound partners with prison chaplains and volunteers to provide spiritual guidance, mentoring, literacy services, computer instruction, life skills training, parenting classes, and other programs for youth and adult offenders and their families. HeartBound's comprehensive array of programs helps to fill the gap in much needed services for incarcerated adults and youth.

Through the years, HeartBound has found that one of the best ways to reduce recidivism is to provide educational opportunities with a faith component. These programs help to build technical and soft skills, introduce people to faith, and teach individuals that they are capable of learning and creating something good. We seek to foster creativity, promote equality, and help incarcerated people understand that they are loved by their Creator. By providing incarcerated people with faith and education, they can live a life of dignity and purpose, and rise above poverty, violence, and inequality.
