Who We Are
We are ordinary volunteers doing extraordinary disaster response. The Team established in 2007, under Wilson Co. Emergency Management Agency.
What We Do
WC DART is deployed through WEMA, in times of disaster to house animals involved to be reunited with owners, or temporarily housed for owners who lost their homes. The Team is Mission Ready for the State of TN (TEMA), Credentialed by the TN Department of Agriculture. The Team has been established x 2007, and has responded to Macon Co. Tornadoes and Flash Flooding, Gatlinburg Wildfires, Hurricane Harvey, Rockport Texas, to name a few deployments. WC DART also assists Animal Control Agencies in times of overwhelm- hoarding situations, influx of animals and assists law enforcement with Donkeys running at large, and a Tractor trailer overturned hauling turkeys....
