Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association

Founded in 1966, Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association is a statewide, volunteer-managed river conservation organization headquartered in Nashville, TN. Our mission is to protect our state's scenic rivers and to encourage river safety through paddling and rescue classes. Proceeds from our classes and outdoor events are used to fund river conservation projects.

The Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association (TSRA) conducts training classes in paddle sports, organizes river conservation projects and leads outreach initiatives to train the next generation of river conservationists. Two of our recent initiatives are building a network of blueway trails to encourage recreational paddling and introducing disadvantaged youth to paddle sports through Jack Lyle's River Kids.
