Who We Are

The Raise Your Hand Tutoring Program (RYH) is a FREE academic intervention program for students reading below their grade-level.

What We Do

The Raise Your Hand Tutoring Program partners with administrators and teachers to implement tutoring sessions in participating elementary and middle schools. RYH increases literacy rates by forming a classroom partnerships with volunteer tutors and teachers for each student. We work together with communities to provide tutoring services to students grades K-8th in four school districts. These districts include: Cheatham, Dickson, Montgomery, Robertson, and Williamson counties.

Volunteers will be matched with schools according to their availability, but we ask for a minimum of one shift a week. We offer flexible scheduling with multiple tutoring locations across the Greater Nashville Area for Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions.
