Who We Are
Opie Acres mission is to give life saving medical care to ill, injured and orphaned Virginia Opossums and other wildlife in the state of Tennessee. Our purpose is to seek out those creatures that would otherwise be ignored, forgotten or improperly cared for and give them the highest level of care possible. Our goal is first to do no harm. Second, to give life saving care, third to end suffering. Then finally, and most importantly, to educate the public on the true nature and benefit of this remarkable, helpful and ancient animal. Opie Acres is permitted for rehabilitation by TWRA and for education by TWRA and USDA.
What We Do
We care for Tennessee’s wildlife in need.
