Flourish: Belmont Mobile Health Unit

Belmont Flourish Mobile Health Clinic is a mobile health clinic dedicated to bridging gaps in healthcare access for unhoused and underserved communities across Nashville and the surrounding counties.

Students work alongside faculty and healthcare professionals to provide compassionate, community-based, and interdisciplinary care. Our team brings together students from medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, public health, and other healthcare professions, as well as students from programs across Belmont’s campus.

Through the Belmont Flourish Mobile Health Clinic, we provide free, accessible healthcare and supportive services to underserved and under-resourced individuals experiencing homelessness, navigating addiction recovery, or facing barriers to healthcare.

Our services include:

• Health screenings and assessments
• Wound care
• Urgent and primary medical care
• Mental health services
• Occupational and physical therapy
• Social services and referrals
• Health education and harm reduction

As a student volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to love and serve our community in a meaningful and impactful way. We partner with local organizations that provide food, clothing, and other essential resources, meeting people where they are and providing healthcare alongside these community services.

Depending on your profession and training, you may participate in community outreach, assist with patient assessments, provide health education, support social service referrals, or help with clinic operations.

No prior medical experience? No problem! There’s a meaningful role for every student who wants to serve, learn, and make a difference in our community.

Please Note: All students must complete the required Flourish Mobile Health Clinic training through Canvas before coming out to serve on the mobile clinic.

All required training must be completed at least 72 hours before the clinic. If you need to cancel your volunteer shift, please do so through GetConnected at least 72 hours in advance.

Volunteer opportunities are limited, so signing up for a shift means committing to that time and taking a spot that would otherwise be available to another student.

Because of this, failure to attend your scheduled volunteer shift without prior cancellation may result in ineligibility to serve with the clinic until the following semester.
