Nashville Launch Pad

Who We Are

Mission: To create a network of temporary, safer, street-free sleeping shelters for unhoused young adults which are open and affirming to LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies. Vision: To ensure all unhoused and displaced young adults in Middle TN have safer and more secure sleeping shelters throughout the year. Nashville Launch pad was founded in 2014 to fill a gap in providing safer, street-free shelter for unhoused young adults, with a specific emphasis on being LGBTQ+ affirming.

What We Do

Nashville Launch Pad provides 3 programs for unhoused LGBTQ+ and allied young adults; Emergency Shelter, Mobile Housing Navigation Center, and Independent Supported Living Program. Our Emergency Shelter program provides an LGBTQ+ affirming, safer sleeping environment to unhoused young adults 18-26 years old. Guests can get a warm meal, a hot shower, and access to basic supplies and clothing. This program operates every evening from Nov 1st - March 31st, and volunteers work alongside staff to bring dignity to our guests. Our Mobile Housing Navigation Center is year-round transitional living program featuring 13 beds in a dorm style environment for unhoused young adults to stay for about 120 days. Residents have access to their own private bed and desk, a communal living space, kitchen, and laundry machines. Each participant receives personalized case management support. The Independent Supported Living Program provides apartment accommodations for up to 6 unhoused young adults. Residents can take up to 6 months to focus on employment, search for permanent housing, meet their education goals, and more. Residents are supported with case management.
