Who We Are
The Office of Community-Engaged Learning and Service (CELS) connects students, faculty, and staff with meaningful opportunities to engage with our communities through volunteer opportunities, academic coursework, and campus-wide events.
Whether you're tutoring local students, collaborating with nonprofits, or reflecting on complex social issues in class, Community-Engaged Learning and Service at Belmont helps you connect your learning inside the classroom with your service engagement outside of it - and vice versa! It's about mutual partnership, civic responsibility, and collective flourishing.
We facilitate:
- Service-learning courses that integrate community engagement into academic content
- Volunteer opportunities through Get Connected, our digital service platform
- Service Wellness credit processing
- Campus-wide volunteer events like Family Literacy Day and MLK Joint Day of Service
- Support & resources for faculty, staff, and community partners
