HOMECOMING 2017 CAMPUS HIGHLIGHTS
Canned Food Drive | February—All Month Long
For our third year in a row, we'll be collecting canned food items for Second Harvest Food Bank. Bring your canned items to the Foutch Alumni House between now and Homecoming Week. Bonus: Drop off your canned items at the Campus Store or Harrington Place Dining on Mission Monday and receive special discounts (see below).
Faculty & Staff Homecoming Spirit Court | Homecoming Week
We're proud to announce the first ever Faculty & Staff Homecoming Spirit Court. Get your favorite faculty or staff nominations ready and be looking for information regarding criteria and voting soon.
Theme Days |Homecoming Week
Each day will feature a special Homecoming 2017 theme, including:
- Mission Monday—An opportunity for Belmont faculty, staff, students, and alumni to serve together on a project to support a local non-profit. It's the perfect day to bring in your canned food donations! Drop your canned food items at the Campus Store to receive a discount on one apparel item: 1 can(10% off), 2 cans (20% off), and 3+ cans(30% off). Donate 6 canned food items at Harrington Place Dining and receive a free breakfast or lunch.
- T-Shirt Tuesday—While students will have an opportunity to receive a free Homecoming 2017 t-shirt, faculty and staff are encouraged to bring a gently used clothing item to donate for HOPE for Domestic Violence. Stay tuned for more details!
- WOW Wednesday—There will be multiple "surprise" pop-up events throughout the day. To follow the action, tune into Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram on the Belmont University, Alumni Association, and SGA social media accounts.
- Thank You Thursday—Be looking for opportunities to send Thank You notes to Belmont donors, your favorite faculty or staff members, parents, friends, colleagues, or join with Belmont's Bruin Vets to send thank yous to current military and U.S. veterans.
- FANtastic Friday—The perfect day to show your Bruin Spirit. Wear your favorite Belmont gear and watch for special ways to share your Belmont Spirit throughout the day.
