The Acorn Society’s mission is to engage, educate and empower the next generation of philanthropist. It is a component fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee dedicated to the idea that it does not take great wealth to meaningfully and beneficially impact its community. This member-based fund holds quarterly meetings that feature a social and educational component around certain issue areas of philanthropy. The goal is to allow members to guide their own philanthropy – based upon their interests – and give exposure to smaller, local nonprofits where members’ efforts can make the most impact.
