More details:
If you haven’t participated before, the Tennessee Campus Civic Summit is a nonpartisan student civic leadership conference. The summits bring together Tennessee colleges and universities to learn from each other as well as experts in the field about student voting and how to promote long-term civic engagement and literacy on campus.
The summits are not just a great educational experience. In the past, students have received fellowships as a result of the networking opportunities the summit offered.
This year’s event will be held on February 25-26, 2022 and will feature a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual elements. There will be state-wide virtual student voting education sessions in the morning. Our Keynote Speaker is Aarian Forman, Co-Founder of the non-profit Xceleader and former SGA President at Tennessee State University.
Also on February 25th, we will host a Civic Leaders Lunch on our campus where you will have the opportunity to meet and talk with some of your local elected officials and civic leaders. Afterwards, we’ll be working together to build our campus’ Civic Action Plan.
February 26th is an optional, completely virtual "Saturday Social.” Not only is this a chance to socialize with students from across the state, but it is a great opportunity to network with leaders from some of the most impactful civic organizations in the country, such as the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition and Campus Vote Project.
