Description

In the midst or the wake of treatment, it can be challenging for blood cancer survivors to plan for the future. Hospital stays and missed school days might delay important educational goals. And the high costs of cancer care can make affording higher education can be difficult.

As survivors navigate life after diagnosis or treatment, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is here to help jumpstart their future career goals. The  LLS Scholarship for Blood Cancer Survivors is now open and accepting applications!

What does the scholarship cover?

This scholarship provides survivors diagnosed at age 25 or younger with up to $7,500 to apply to tuition costs, virtually or in-person, at any trade, vocational, two-year, or four-year undergraduate school for the 20242025 academic year.

What’s required to apply?

To apply, survivors are asked to submit the following materials through our online portal: an essay, short answers to some questions, and verification of diagnosis.

When is this all happening?

Applications are open from August 1 until October 31, 2023. Applicants will be notified if they become awardees in March 2024.
