Join your community and the Cumberland River Compact for a streamside litter cleanup of Curd Branch in Franklin! Nestled between a medical center parking lot and a busy parkway, Curd Branch can often collect a lot of trash. At this cleanup, you will work with other volunteers to clean up the shallow stream. You'll also hear from our staff about Section 319 of the Clean Water Act and how it helps the Compact complete projects (like this event!) to improve water quality in Middle Tennessee.
This is the second of three cleanups the Compact will be leading to support our restoration of North Ewingville Creek in the Harpeth River-Spencer Creek watershed. Your participation in this cleanup is part of a larger effort to preserve the health of the Harpeth River and its tributaries for future generations!
In addition to signing up on Belmont GetConnected, please register on the Cumberland River Compact's VolunteerHub page to confirm your participation and sign the necessary waivers.

This cleanup is made possible thanks to support from the City of Franklin and 319 grant funding as a result of the Clean Water Act (CWA).
