Basketball Season is here and we are looking for volunteers! Volunteers are the backbones of what make our leagues run effectively. We are in need of volunteers to serve as coaches, scorekeepers, and officials. Volunteers can come just 1 day or each week. We can also fill out any paperwork to verify service hours for school or other needs except court ordered community service hours.
Practice/Scrimmage Day Duties:
- # 1 rule: encourage and celebrate MPDP participants!
- Assist with team check-in and warm-up.
- Oversee player safety and enforce rules.
- Help players manage substitutions and player rotation.
- Help communicate what referees are saying to participants.
- Distribute and collect equipment and uniforms.
· Set up and take down equipment
· Run the scoreboard or clock
· Supervise players and spectators
· Ensure a positive and safe environment
Volunteer Roles:
- Scorekeeper: Record game statistics and maintain accurate scoreboards.
- Unified partner: Play on as a teammate w/ MPDP participants.
