TWISTER (Tennessee Women in Science, Technology, Engineering & Research) is a one-day conference designed to inspire and empower high school girls to explore careers in STEM. The event features hands-on workshops, interactive panels, and networking opportunities with women professionals in STEM fields.
Who Can Volunteer at TWISTER
This opportunity is open to women who are passionate about mentoring and inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders. Volunteers must also complete a background check prior to the event.
Background checks are free and paid for by ASC. The Sterling background check is mandatory to volunteer at Adventure Science Center. Once you begin the background check, do not close-out or go back. If the site gives you any trouble, please contact us so we can get it solved for you.
About the Role
Join us as a Table Leader at TWISTER, a brand-new volunteer role designed to create a more engaging and connected experience for attendees! As a Table Leader, you’ll be the main point of contact for a small group of 8-10 participants, guiding discussions and fostering connections throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and engage with your group upon arrival.
- Facilitate conversations during transitions, lunch, and the closing ceremony.
- Answer questions and provide encouragement as attendees navigate the event.
- Help create a supportive and inclusive environment.
