Why:
By planting a diverse assortment of native trees, we will expand the vegetative buffer zone along Lytle Creek. Healthy vegetative buffers play an instrumental role in the health of a stream by reducing the amount of sediment and nutrient pollution entering the stream, reducing erosion, decreasing flood water velocity downstream, and creating habitat for a variety of wildlife.
