Volunteer tree planting event
Join TEC in planting trees along Grassy Branch Creek.
Where:
4001 Campbell Station Parkway. Parking is available in the clubhouse parking lot.
When:
This event will occur on March 21st, 2025, beginning at 9:00 am and ending around 12:00 pm.
Why:
By planting a diverse assortment of native trees, we will expand the vegetative buffer zone along Grassy Branch Creek. Healthy vegetative buffers play an instrumental role in the health of a stream by reducing the amount of sediment and nutrient pollution entering the stream, reducing erosion, decreasing flood water velocity downstream, and creating a habitat for a variety of wildlife.
What to bring:
Please bring a refillable water bottle, a snack/lunch, and a desire to impact the environment positively. TEC will provide all necessary tools, such as sunscreen and bug spray.
