ATTENTION: Signing up here on Belmont's "Get Connected" site will record your hours in this system. HOWEVER in order to actually participate as a volunteer and have your hours approved, you must ASLO register on the Centennial Park Conservancy's Registration Portal, called POINT. Please click HERE to sign up and pick your shifts NOW to properly reserve your spot and receive your service credit!!!
If you register for a shift, you MUST be present for the ENTIRE SHIFT (unless special arrangements are made through the Volunteer Coordinator). If you do not stay for your whole shift, your hours will NOT BE APPROVED. Please check in periodically at the Volunteer Desk to be reassigned as needed.
- Earth Day takes place on Saturday, April 19th from 11 AM to 5 PM in Centennial Park
- Minimum age for volunteers: 16 years (unless supervised by an adult)
- Volunteers should expect to be on their feet for the duration of their shift. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle and a portable chair or a blanket to sit on if needed.
Shifts Available:
- 7:30AM to 10:15AM - Set-Up
- 10:15 AM to 1:00 PM - First Event Shift
- 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM - Second Event Shift
- 3:45 PM to 6:30 PM - Final Event Shift & Tear Down
Examples of Volunteer Duties:
- vendor set-up and registration
- Green Sweeping in the park to collect litter
- Partnering with Waste Management at Recycling Stations
- Assisting the Conservancy Booth with fundraising, merchandise and surveys
