Our Illuminate Art fundraising Gala is a one-of-a-kind Nashville event that provides a premiere platform for artists experiencing housing insecurity to showcase their work and earn income, as well as help our organization raise much needed funds to provide studio space, art supplies, and more so the artists can keep creating. We are looking for volunteers to help us during our Art Gala event by helping with set-up and tear down, will-call/ticket sales, monitoring the silent auction, art sales, and more.
Volunteer Set-up/Tear-Down Positions and Timeline:
- 2pm - 5:30pm Help staff set up the space
- 9:30pm – 11pm Help us tear-down the event
These volunteers are welcome to attend our event for free from 6:30pm-9:30pm
Event Volunteer Positions:
- 4-6 Will-call/ ticket volunteers to assist with a "ticketless/contactless" check-in process where guests will give their names and volunteers will mark them on a spreadsheet on a provided computer.
- 2-3 volunteers to assist with monitoring the silent auction which consists of overseeing physical items present throughout the night and directing people at the event to the online QR codes and links to the online silent auction, as well as checking emailed receipts and handing out items to winners after the auction ends at the end of the night.
- 4-6 volunteers are needed to help with art sales transactions in Square throughout the event
- 3-4 volunteers to help with restocking the cocktail buffet area with food
- 2-3 volunteers to serve as greeters
- 3-4 volunteers are needed as "Artist Liaisons/Floaters"
Event Volunteer Timeline & Requirements:
Volunteers must attend online volunteer training week of March 16th (or watch recorded Zoom video following training if unable to attend)
- 5-6pm Event Volunteers arrive at venue
- 6:30pm-7:30pm will be VIP hour
- 7:30-9:30pm General Admission
