Did you know April is National Volunteer Month? Come join the Centennial Park Conservancy and Greenways for Nashville in a joint Green Sweep of the Centennial Park Dog Park and the 440 Greenway!
This is the first of what we hope will be many collaborative efforts to keep Nashville’s public green spaces clean!
What is a Greenway?

Centennial Park Conservancy Mission: Centennial Park Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works in partnership with Nashville’s Metro Parks to support Centennial Park and the Parthenon. We preserve, enhance and share the Parthenon and Centennial Park so that all future generations may benefit from these enriching cultural and educational landmarks. What will volunteers do?
Join us and you will:
Participate in a fun environment meeting new friends and neighbors while being productive together and enjoying the park and the 440 Greenway.
Take pride in being part of a team dedicated to upholding the legacy of Nahsville's green spaces for generations to come.
Collaborate with like-minded individuals who share your passion for stewardship and service to create a positive ripple effect extending beyond the park and greenway boundaries and inspiring others to be Good Neighbors!
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Dress for weather, bring water and wear closed-toe shoes for walking. We provide latex gloves, but it you want to bring your own, please do. (p.s. If you feel so inclined...wear green! Every day is St. Paddy's when it comes to Green Sweepin' our parks and greenways!)
What should volunteers know about the location?
2565 Park Plaza, Nashville, TN, USA Volunteers will meet at the Park Plaza Trailhead by the Centennial Park Dog Park and Greenways for Nashville office. Please park in either any open street parking, or in the Centennial Park Conservancy office lot at 2565 Park Plaza. Look for the bright green bags at the 440 Greenway awning pictured above!
