About the event

Are you interested in becoming a volunteer Naturalist / Docent for seasonal “Stroll & Roll” Nature walks in Centennial Park?

Come to the next scheduled walks with Metro Park's Leading Naturalist to see what it's all about and begin your training. Volunteer credit will be given even if you decide not to become a walk leader for the 2026 Season so come on out and give it a try!

What will volunteers do?

Attend a two scheduled nature walks in Centennial Park with a trained Naturalist and members of the public to observe how it's done and potentially sign up to be a future Docent in Centennial Park!

You will arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled walks and stay 15 minutes later for questions and discussion about the Docent program. Volunteers MUST also claim a spot for both walks on Eventbrite and claim your spot on the Conservancy's Volunteer Registration platform. What will volunteers need to bring or wear?

Dress for the weather, bring field binoculars if you have them,  and a way to take notes. Recommend downloading iNaturalist app and Merlin Bird ID in advance.
