Special Olympics is the world’s largest public health organization for individuals with intellectual disabilities, addressing critical health disparities through its Healthy Athletes program. The USA Games Training Camp, hosted by SOTN, is a mandatory weekend where Team TN athletes will meet for the first time. This final step to becoming an official team member includes team-building, meeting coaches, uniform fittings, physicals, practice sessions, and more.

SOTN Before You Volunteer + 2026 USA Games in Minnesota
General Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Assisting with check-in and check-out at the MedFest station
- Supporting medical screenings (medical history, height/weight, blood pressure)
- Helping maintain flow between screening stations
- Assisting with data entry
- Educating and celebrating with athletes throughout the event!
What to Know Before You Arrive
- Please arrive 5–10 minutes early and check in at the registration desk
- Bring a photo ID for check-in — you’ll receive a volunteer shirt (if you already have one, please wear it!)
- The event will be held indoors
- Free on-site parking is available
- Wear athletic or comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, as you'll be on your feet for most of the day
- Don’t forget to bring a filled water bottle and stay hydrated throughout the event
