We're on the lookout for passionate individuals to join our team and support the language-learning journey of adult immigrants in the Nashville area. Our Adult Education Program has been a cornerstone in helping newcomers integrate seamlessly into our community. As a volunteer teacher, you'll play a crucial role in this heartwarming process. But it's not just about teaching English; it's about being a cultural ambassador and a friendly face in the Nashville area. Your presence will make a real difference.
No teaching certification is required to embark on this rewarding journey. We do, however, recommend some teaching experience. Volunteers must be 18 or older. You'll have the opportunity to lead 1.5-hour lessons one evening per week for a 12-week term, and we provide you with the curriculum and syllabus.
Our fall term classes will meet online via Zoom.
- Mark your calendars; classes begin on September 1st, 2026, and will wrap up on November 19th, 2026.
