AncoraTN (Formerly End Slavery Tennessee) nurtures survivor healing and strategically combats human trafficking in Tennessee. A huge part of End Slavery Tennessee's mission is trauma-informed case management for human trafficking survivors; this means we don't routinely offer volunteer opportunities working directly with survivors. However, you can make a direct impact for survivors by hosting a Gift Card drive or raising funds to purchase items on our Wish Lists. Here's more information:
- Host a FUNdraiser! Creative ideas are encouraged; this could be an especially great club or group opportunity. Financial support offers the most flexible way for us to provide for survivors. Submit your request here.
- In-kind support based on what our case managers report are the practical needs at the moment is also important. Would your club or Bible Study group or class project team like to participate with that? Here's what we need: Amazon Wish List or Amazon Hygiene Needs Wish List
Dear Potential Volunteer, Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, you are strongly encouraged to volunteer virtually rather than in person. In fact, many in-person volunteer opportunities have been cancelled in response to concerns over the virus. If you are considering volunteering for this Need, even though it’s not advised at this time, please be sure and contact the agency directly before signing up to make sure that the opportunity is still scheduled, and follow all of the CDC’s Guidelines to protect yourself and others. If you choose to volunteer in person, you agree that you understand the associated risks and accept them. For information about Virtual Volunteering, please check out http://getconnected.belmont.edu/virtual-volunteer-opportunities/ Stay safe and well! |
