The Mt. Juliet Senior Center is looking for volunteers to help grocery shop for food boxes.
You will be provided a shopping list of identical items for to gather for food boxes. Shopping can be done anytime during the week between 9am and 3pm and then dropped off at the senior center.
We are flexible with the time of day as long as you are able to do it between 9am and 3pm anytime Monday through Friday. INDIVIDUAL TIMES MUST BE AGREED UPON WITH THE CENTER PRIOR TO YOUR SHIFT. THE SHIFTS BELOW ARE JUST SAMPLE SHIFTS - ACTUAL TIMES MUST BE CONFIRMED DIRECTLY WITH THE CENTER FIRST (Please note: Automated system emails are NOT direct emails from the Center).
Volunteers are needed weekly or bi-weekly depending on the amount of items you are able to purchase during each trip.
You will be given payment for the groceries, so volunteers will NOT need to pay for any of the groceries you buy for this opportunity. A background check is required to participate in the opportunity.
Volunteers must have their own transportation and be able to lift groceries into the cart and then into their car.
Ideally we are looking for volunteers who would be willing to help on a rotating basis.
