Friends of Shelby Park events are starting up again. Join us at our popular pop-up beer garden - Fridays by the River!
Fridays by the River includes beer from East Nashville Beer Works, live music, and food trucks.
Ecostation Monitors will assist Friends of Shelby at community events by ensuring that waste is put in its proper place, helping us keep as much waste out of landfills as possible! This role will entail standing at one of our ecostations – which include a recycling bin, compost bin, and trash bin – and instructing event-goers where to dispose their waste items. If we have enough Ecostation Monitors, one or two will also drift around the event, picking up trash and replacing full disposal bags.
Give back to the environment by reducing the waste sent to the landfill while also attending the beer garden.
Volunteers will receive a Friends of Shelby volunteer shirt and if you are over the age of 21, you will receive two free beer tickets!
You will only have to work for half of the event, the rest of the time you can enjoy the event.
