New Leash on Life is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness.
The Pooch Pool Party is an annual event that takes place at the Nashville Shores on Saturday, September 23rd.
This is an opportunity for dog lovers! Volunteers must be comfortable around dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes and energy levels ad the event draws hundreds of dogs each year. Dogs will be on and off the leash during the remainder of the event.
Volunteers may be assigned to help in the water (lazy river, zero entry pool, splash pad area) and to help hold/contain dogs to assist owners when they are completing waiver to enter the park.
Volunteers will be in the open weather, full sun at times, with limited to no shade.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear water friendly shoes and attire. In the past, most volunteers have worn running type tennis shoes, water shoes or Keen type sandals.
Volunteer shifts are available between 10:30am and 4:45pm. Please sign up for a shift here.
