Are you interested in serving the refugee, asylee and immigrant communities here in Nashville?
Nashville International Center for Empowerment (NICE) has over 9 educational programs serving more than 1000 students a year. Our largest program, English Literacy, serves adults from 27 countries working towards career advancement, higher education, and improving their lives and the lives of their families.
One of the major barriers for these students is childcare. Many of our clients cannot afford to hire someone to watch their children in order for them to go to school.
NICE is currently seeking morning childcare volunteers to watch children ages 6mo to 4 years old. Typically, each of our childcare locations has 10 to 15 students.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays you can be a part of the NICE team from 6:00pm to 8:00pm by rocking infants, playing games with toddlers, reading to pre-school age children. This position requires a 9 week commitment at least one day a week.
This is an exciting way to engage our unique international community here in Nashville.
