Does your family know where to meet outside of your home if you experience a fire? Start conversations!
Home fires claim seven lives every day, but you can help change that. Join the American Red Cross during a local Sound the Alarm event. In teams of 3 or 4, we provide home fire education and smoke alarms at no cost to participants. No prior experience is necessary; we will provide all the training you will need. Please note that participants may be required to wear a mask as the request of the clients with whom we serve. Masks will be provided at each event, or you are welcome to bring your own.
All volunteers will be asked to set up a Volunteer Connection account which includes a criminal background check that screens for theft and violence. Each team will include a documenter, educator, and installer. Please register so we can plan our teams.
Visit SoundTheAlarm.org/Tennessee to register to volunteer.
We'll kick off in Gallatin at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers who wish to carpool from the Nashville office may meet at the Red Cross Auditorium (2201 Charlotte Ave., Nashville) by 8:00 a.m. Register to learn more.
Send questions to Henry.Pipes@redcross.org please.
